Dayang Dive Trip

My only Overseas trip this holiday - Dayang malaysia. Initially it was a choice between Dayang and Sibu. After a considerable amount of reserch online. We decided on Dayang.

The whole trip was overall fun and good.

However there were some not so enjoyable experiences

The Downs

1) On the day of departure. The time to meet was 530pm. It was like a mad rush. rushing to meet ben at vivo than cabbing down to the dive office.

Why do we have to meet so early? Cause we need to beat the low tide at Mersing!.

In the end all 4 of us divers plus the driver (Uncle Sam aka Initial D, F1 racer) had to wait for our dive master - Dom (he is a real cool guy la)

to arrive.

We only finally set off to woodlands check point at 615pm.

Uncle Sam sped to mersing jetty in 3 hours. He was seriously good. Zipping and overtaking. You will only know how good he is,when u take a ride yourself. Haha

when we reached Mersing jetty they transported us to the main big travelling boats via small boats. I was like WTH. if they were doing this in the first place than why do we need to meet so early.

Seriously.

It was in this boat "Princess" our waiting boat, that my CASH

got stolen and my HP nearly got stolen.

The whole gang decided to chill out on the upper deck since it was more windy. Before i left for the upper deck i packed my stuff together. Minor OCD i have.. ha.. After an hour of chitchat i decided to remove my contact lens. When i went down to the bed compartment. I found that my bags were not in place. When i checked for my HP it was bloody hell Knn CB lost. I was searching for it frantically. The rest were rounded up by me to help in the search. The thought of having to replace a new phone the hassle and stuff was plain depressing. I fully shut down my phone hence i thought there would be no hope locating my phone already. Ben decided to try calling my phone anyway.

My phone RANG. !!!!

WTH

I was excited.

We followed the music to a paper cardboard box.

My phone was inside. The thief apparently findled with the phone and turned it back on again. I guess i got to thank him in a way. If he had not turned my HP back on,it would already be his.

I am just glad my HP was found. My cash can't be found though.

But i guess it was an expensive lesson for me, learning to keep my personal belongings by myside always

2) I hit my head like 3 times in the trip.. PEriod!

3) My freakng NUM slippers snapped on me at WOODLANDS checkpoint on our way back. I walked barefooted all the way back into our van.
i will nv wanna experience that again.

Watched the movie kicked ass with ben and our diving clique. Overall the show was quite entertaining. For me as long as i dun get sleepy it is entertaining. In a short summary. Boy is invisble to everyone is school especially girls. His hang out friends are simliar to him. Boring and simple

I have been rewatching a Japanese Anime -
天空战记
which i bought the DVD set for $80 (Damn Ex can).
I remember it was aired on Channel 8 in year 1997 and i was sec 2.
The time that it aired was 230am..
like WTH right.

I used to stay up every tuesday and thursday just to watch 30 mins of the Anime. Because i didnt get to complete it then, so when i show the DVD set i bought it without any hesitation. It was super worth it.. (Self consoling )

I was blog hopping when i stumbled upon an entry which, immediately caught my attention.

Why?

Cause i am a teacher too!!

Teachers should teach with passion.

It does not matter which school u are posted to.

Anyway, this is the translated text off his blog:

Hearing that a new teacher, recently graduated from NIE, will be posted to my school, I eagerly waited in my office for him, expecting to have a succesor who will share with me the noble mission of education.
Expecting him to be full of youthful drive and idealism since this was his first job, I immediately started to brief the new teacher about his job scope when he arrived. However, I realised that he was unusually quiet and expressionless. He slowly explained: "Sorry, I will be posted to another school in two days' time. I have already requested for a transfer from MOE; I am now awaiting the re-posting".
"Oh, I see!" I was greatly puzzled; why was he applying for a transfer when he have not even started work at the school?
He explained with great honesty: "When I received the notification that I will be posted to this school, I immediately went to apply for a transfer with the HR department. I have heard that neighbourhood schools, such as this school, have a lot of 'problem students'. I am from XX Junior College, I would not be able to adapt to such an environment".
A prestigious graduate of an elite school cannot teach in a neighbourhood school? I was greatly saddened for the sake of my neigbourhood school and for the sake of the many "problem students" under my charge. Admittedly, they are a misbehaving lot: fooling around during lessons, not handing in assignments, playing truant, getting into fights, smoking and even drug-taking; they are in greater need of education and rehabilitation. But I did not expect that a new teacher will despise them and avoid teaching them.
On the first day of school, being unable to get his request for a transfer approved, the new teacher still reported to work. This was what I expected! Barring you having "special connections", which employer will allow you to freely choose where you want to work at?
After a few days, he came to my office, dejectedly saying: "I am about to have a mental breakdown, I cannot tolerate the students' misbehaviour anymore. I want to quit, I do not want to fritter away my life, I do not mind contravening my contract and paying reparations..."
After my initial shock, I replied: "Young man, you are very fortunate to be able to enjoy being educated in 'elite' schools since young, to have a good family and schooling environment, to live in such a protected and happy environment and not come into contact with those from another socio-economic milieu. Before coming to this school, I was also unaware that Singapore has so many low income families which are struggling to survive. 60% of the students here have parents whom only have primary school education, 30% of them come from single-parent families; having a hard life, these children already have a bad starting point and live in a maladjusted environment, thus bringing all kinds of bad habits and problems to school. Hence, in order to bring them onto the correct path, we need to approach and teach them with greater love and patience".
At this point in time, an expression of doubt and shock was on the new teacher's face. I told him: "Go see a doctor and take a few days' break. When you have considered carefully and made a decision, then come and discuss with me".
Unfamiliar with the purpose of education and unaware of the hardships of being a teacher, this new teacher has entered into the world of teaching. Was this because he was attracted to the high salaries in the teaching service or was he unable to find another job due to the economic recession?

Being a Teacher, there are some perks I do get to enjoy sometimes. I get to visit places of interest in Singapore, for FREE.However i only get IN free, i dont get to enjoy walking around freely. I have to be Nanny and take care of my students. But nevertheless i make the best out of every trip.

Today i had to help my school play a friendly match against another school. I felt totally lost and helpless. Cant really help at all. I only play half of the match. We gave our best but sadly we lost.

for a me to start learning how to play soccer properly.. hmmmmm

Watched the following 2 movies yesterday. Together with a group of 3 pretty girls. i Shall call them 3CB (3 Chio Bus). Initially we only wanted to watch Hot summer days but than decided that, since its the WEEKEND DUN WASTE It.. Lets just have a movie marathon.Hahaa.. So its Paris with Love too
